Katla’s element is steam. Using her element, she can heat up her body, turning it a bright orange. She keeps her feet and claws constantly heated, otherwise steam builds up and she has to vent he excess pressure from the ports on her shoulders. Steam build-up often causes Katla to grow grouchy and irritable; so when she vents, it’s in the literal and metaphorical sense. Katla can heat up her entire body, giving her great power; but she can’t stop fighting ‘till she runs out of steam, and afterwards she collapses into unconsciousness. When fighting, she can shoot short bursts of steam from her fists and feet. Katla can also become intangible by turning into steam, but only for five seconds as it greatly tires her.
Katla is a traveling vagabond who is always searching out new fighting styles. When she enters a new village, she immediately searches out the local toa or guardian to learn their fighting style. Afterwards, she’ll relax at a hot spring, or create one by stepping into a pond; or barhopping if she feels like it. Katla gets flirty when drunk, but she flirts terribly. It’s downright embarrassing to watch; a fact that she is greatly embarrassed by. How bad is it? Here is an example: “Wow! What a big sword you have? Can I touch your sword? I'll let you touch mine if you do.” She was particularly drunk that night.
